What self-awareness methods do you engage in?

The American people have invested tremendous amounts of energy and time in becoming more self-aware. Movement-based classes and activity teach us how to be more relaxed and confident, therapies provide necessary steps to let go of old hurts, physical practitioners steward our healing and meditation techniques prepare us for an authentic, spiritual emergence. At this time the American people are being tested, asked to apply their self-aware practices and skill to cultivating community health and well being.

Whether you invest in yoga, pilates, tai chi or Zumba classes, or engage in a sports-related activity, it’s come time to apply the benefits you receive to a wider everyday range. For example, yoga promotes loose, fluid movement. See your kitchen movements as practicing yoga. Bring your tai chi awareness to the desk; slow down, reach for the keyboard or items on the desk in slow motion to feel the intent of each movement. Use your dance awareness to focus on aligning your pelvic bowl while driving. If you engage in sports-type activity to release tension and stress, apply this dedication to the way you do chores. Sweep, dig, pound, scrub with muscle performance awareness.

The American people are well therapized. We know the many effects of trauma-informed backgrounds. We have identified and addressed many, many old hurts that have prevented us from developing safe enough lifestyles. It’s come time to upgrade our investment in therapies, to reframe our traumatized stories as stories of American heroes bringing the dark into the light.

America is blessed with a plethora of healing practitioners. So many talented experts to choose from. Now it is time to take more responsibility to use everyday movement for simple adjustments, healthy muscle organization and performance. Every time you move, use your soles to send healing messages to related body parts. Visualize meridians opening as you breathe deep in your morning shower. Apply your PT exercises to the way you cross your legs, close the garage door or walk.

Finally, bring your meditative practice to all communication. Dump your judgments as they arise, empty chaotic thoughts, actively listen to yourself and then to others. See how you are participating, in some small way. to a point and blame mindset. Take responsibility to cultivate connectedness in any way you can. Meditate and reflect on all you have been through, on what you have learned and how you can pass on your knowledge in positive ways that help bring our American people together into health and wellness.
