Pony Boy enters the Mycelium Network on his way to Podi. His legs, dangling on either side of Four-legged, create an animal surge loin blend. Podi, the Gather Ground for Spacious Living, can only be reached by a narrow, winding path, and Pony Boy is grateful for Four-legged’s sure footing. The Mycelium Network, a giant energy exchange in which all consciousness is rooted, resembles a thick forest with hidden side paths leading into the shadowy reaches. Pony Boy has explored many of these paths, but today there is no time, and he nudges Four-legged’s flanks to pick up the pace. Four-legged’s ears flick, listening for rustling underbrush and the possibility of danger. The Mycelium Network is vast, and Rogues are known to lurk in the shadows waiting to pounce on Trekkers, bringing stores of Spacious Awareness to share at the Gather. Stripped of their Spacious Awareness data, the Trekkers have to turn back for another load, and the Rogues scurry to one of the bars in Slippery Slope Hollow to knock it with their pals.
Pony Boy is eager to reach Podi, the great platform of deep imagination where some of the best Gathers in the world happen.
