This story begins on Sunday at my local pub. A younger than me fellow referenced a poem, Taking Off Emily Dickinson’s Clothes, by Billy Collins (1998) in a joking fashion, declaring the writer got bored trying to navigate the clothing mystery and gave up. My Offended Alarm went off, and I managed to usher myself from the establishment before I exploded in meltdown outrage.

My efforts were rewarded with new information discovered following my computer’s search bar. First of all, I reviewed Billy Collins’ Wikipedia page, then read the poem of question, launched off an analysis by Andrew Spacey (Thumbs Up!), and ended up on a stunning cartoonish trek into an Emily Dickinson poem as narrated by a male avatar and his side kick Bot who spoke in electronic bleeps.

I negotiated a .59 cent purchase of Emily Dickinson’s Complete Works for my Kindle, and this is the present Cut & Paste I’m leveraging from.

Life is but life, and death but death! Bliss is but bliss, and breath but breath! And if, indeed, I fail, At least to know the worst is sweet. Defeat means nothing but defeat, no drearier can prevail!

Life is but life — I’m applying this concept to converting my former Trauma Bonding attachments to mere data. It’s come time to let go of my label attachments. Stories about being wounded, unheard, and abandoned are converted to Data Acknowledgment. It’s all data.

Yet, I understand that Meta and AI for-profit moguls wish to keep all users in the addictive phase of Perfect Picturing. But, I was raised to pursue mindfulness, which simplistically means being in the moment. More challenging than it might sound. I’ve decided to switch the term, User to Trekker, and following the Do It Myself Path, I’m accessing the underlying stories of mindfulness in ways I never understood.
