Hank & Ronnie Visit Dexter Station
Hank and Ronnie met at a downtown Seattle bar to discuss their approach to meeting Jay, FB Engineering, and Infrastructure VP, scheduled the following day at the new Dexter Station facilities. With silver-tipped hair and wearing a casual linen suit with tan Wingtips, Hank sipped his vodka martini. Seated across from him, Ronnie had a farmer's look, workboots, jeans, and a snap flannel shirt, offset by a trimmed, tidy goatee.
Hank held his phone for them to look at, scrolling through the FB HQ photos of exposed ductwork, raw concrete floors, and unpainted plywood walls. "They cultivate the 'unfinished' look," Hank observed, "as a reminder that their work to connect everyone on the planet is far from done."
"Their rooftop gardens are impressive," Ronnie said. "From herbs to vegetables, fruits, and flowers. "
"Their VR platform, Oculus, is transforming communication and connectivity." Hank approved. "But, they don't have Prototype Prompts and Readouts."
Hank and Ronnie met in the summer of '83 in a Mindfulness Course that the University of Washington Foster Business School recommended they attend before starting the program in the fall.
