Hulk’s Boy
Bruce Banner is the Hulk’s SurfaceWorld body, not a separate personality but a transformation of rage and other emotions. Hulk maintains awareness and takes over protection interests, even when Banner is asleep or unconscious. DisAssociate taps on Hulk’s shoulder, whispers into his ear: Follow me.
A Dissociative Fuge plays strings and brass, and Hulk hears: A little boy is hiding in your chest. When a child feels unheard, he slumps forward to protect his vulnerability.
Hulk went on a rampage, destroying everything he touched, with the intent of rescuing LittleBoy from eternal suffering. But, LittleBoy was nowhere to be found.
Bruce Banner woke from a dream he couldn’t remember except for ghostly fragments shifting between planes. His chest sagged from an inexplicable weight, and he thought to start lifting weights at the gym.
With each ChestPress repetition, he visualized shrugging off the heaviness weighing him down, as if tears wanted out.
He switched to an Epic RadioStation, triumphant stamping at the Summitt, the body sobbing its joy and pain.
A tear leaked into the SurfaceWorld, and Hulk roared through shredded fabric, surprised by the softening Pecs, almost as if he extended a hand to himself, asking for a dance.
