Navigating the Slippery Slope

Am I sad, mad, or other?

Navigating the Self Reflection River is a Mighty Trek. I made a work landline contact with someone I’ve device-blocked because of my persistent push to make creative contact, and they naively answered. In a moment of work-related chaos, they replied, “Yes, definitely, let’s meet,” and we set a date and time.

When said Creative Collaborative date and time came, and they didn’t show, I faced a Path Junction SignPost with a dozen directions to consider:

Feel Sad
Get Mad
Accept You are Unloved
Keep Going
Other (Scroll Down)

How many times have I tapped on Keep Going and ended up with a Scam Alert?? Sadly, many times. I get it — I’m supposed to Feel Sad if I hope to anchor a significant Sad Release.

My Father, born in Nineteen Twenty Nine, comes to mind
such a different time
communication landlines were new
DNA Awareness did not exist

My infancy
and childhood
filled with narrative data
coming up blank
