SloMo Movement Meditation
Labor Day, 2015, Hank Henderson hosted a party for the FLASH Team and family. Since opening, FLASH Theme Park, located in Issaquah, WA, USA, has become a thunderbolt illuminating the complex weave of Underlying Narratives and methods of navigating and rewilding them.
Hank stood at the kitchen window gazing at the big, groomed backyard and drinking coffee before marinating the tofu, beef dogs, and vegetable kebabs in a ketchup, Worcestershire, soy sauce, and garlic blend.
He and Ronnie Riggs met in a self-awareness class their instructor recommended the summer of ’83 before starting at the Foster School of Business, University of Washington. They shared an obsessive love for racquetball and spent much of the summer on the court, adapting self-awareness techniques to their moves. The backhand emptied thoughts, a lob scooped and dumped judgment, and they went SloMo to identify where they could improve movement efficiency.
After school, Hank became the manager of Heath, Wellness, and Fit, a prominent Seattle gym that brought Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi, and Boxing Fitness into a dynamic interchange. Ronnie married, took over a small family farm in North Bend, and now had two boys with his wife, Patti.
