“Hey, Carl,” Hank said, extending his hand. “Thanks for meeting with me.” Behind him, the sun set over the Sound, red, orange, and saltwater sparkle.
Carl eased into the comfy leather booth, placing his pack on the floor before stripping off Kam’s lined black Carhart gift and putting it on the seat next to him. “Yeah, no problem,” Carl replied, straightening his collar and visualizing his Sole Grid for anchoring.
Hank’s dark green linen shirt was draped easily off his shoulders and pecs beneath his silvered, short-clipped hair, his arm rippling like a subtle Wind Man on the back of the booth. “You’ve done great work with the Soul.com Team, right?”
The waiter bent down for instruction. Carl ordered an IPA and Hank a second vodka martini dirty with an olive.
“Yeah,” Carl agreed. “The Story Mapping Guide Training works as long as I keep my anchor close by and follow the adaptive path. Filling in details is where the real work comes in.”
“I agree, and I thought we could bridge that gap.” Hank’s eyes seemed far away and yet close. “Here’s a preliminary Focus Template I came up with.” He passed a paper to Carl and tapped his phone to send it digitally.
Carl glanced at the hard copy, then scrolled through the digital display, highlighting as he went. “The Sole Grid is a solid Team Anchor, though 15–20% of the Trekkers won’t know what a sole is, though their data is an essential content anchor for greater balance.”
“I want to integrate Slo Mo as soon as possible,” Hank said, appreciating the wait guy with a nod. Lifting his glass, he toasted, “To FLASH Theme Park!”
Carl raised his heavier pint glass and tapped, instinctively blending.
